Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright met at the University of Westminster, where they studied architecture together between 1962 and 1965 and decided to form a band. Waters’ early works from his student days were recently exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of the Pink Floyd exhibition.
Roger Waters joined Pink Floyd as a guitarist. At first, he played the lead guitar, then rhythm guitar, and then bass. On one occasion he joked that it was strange that he did not reach the drummer’s position since he “walked in shoes” of almost all members band members.
According to one of his statements, when he was once invited to deliver the speech to the students of the school, which attends his son Harry. He claims that this was the most terrible thing he has ever done. The fact he have to speak in front of 80 ten years old children horrified him that much, so he could not sleep for weeks.
