Along with the publication of the music video, the band announces the date on which new killer album “Destroy” will be presented at the “Teatro La Cúpula”, in Santiago, Chile.
Sobernot, the independent Groove/Thrash Metal band from Santiago, premiered the video for “No Mercy”, the third single from their new album “Destroy”, released last July, whose song’s lyrics are inspired by the 2008 French movie “Martyrs”.
“No Mercy”, now available on the group’s official YouTube channel, is a dynamic video clip with different footage of the musicians live and in the studio performing the song that kicks off “Destroy”.
Guitarist Pablo La Ronde explains that “No Mercy is one of the most thrash/crossover songs in our repertoire and it’s the one that DESTROY starts with”. About its theme, the musician says: “It is inspired by the French movie “Martyrs” (2008), which belongs to the torture/gore trend, and brutally narrates a story of abuse, revenge, torture, and living hell. with a greater purpose inspired by the quest to solve the mysteries of the afterlife. We thought it was an interesting and crazy theme that was ideal for the violent music of No Mercy.”
According to Pablo La Ronde, “The arrival of Pyro to the band (Piero Ramírez on drums), was a giant incentive to reach new limits and we wanted to start the album presenting him with a drum solo (and close it in the same way), to continue with a thrash from start to finish that won’t let you go”.
In addition to presenting “No Mercy”, Sobernot announces the live release date of “Destroy”, scheduled for Friday, November 4 at the “Cupula Theater” in Parque O’Higgins, Santiago, Chile, in one of the most ambitious concerts of their career. The show will be part of the Cupula Rock Fest, and will feature the participation of the groups Lautaro Toqui de Toquis, Parasyche and Dorso. Tickets can be obtained through ticketplus.cl and will have a general value of $15,000 with pre-sales limited to $12,000 direct with the bands (physical ticket/no surcharge).
“Destroy” was recorded at Estudios Gabelo and Prestafuego Studio, with the co-production of Franco Gabelo and Pablo La Ronde, while the mastering work was done at Fascination Street Studios (Sweden), by the hand of Tony Lindgren (Opeth, Kreator, Sepultura, Leprous and more).
Sobernot line-up is Cesar “Vaigor” Vigouroux (Vocals), Pablo “Chespi” La’Ronde (Guitar), Joaquín “Yakls” Quezada (Bass) and Piero “Pyro” Ramírez (Drums).
