Moonspell and Rotting Christ return to Zagreb’s Močvara with Silver Dust as a support on 18th of November 2019.
Portuguese gothic metal legends Moonspell have been to Croatia many times over the years. Their last performance in Zagreb in 2016 was praised by many fans, so it would be a logical for the band to return once again and here they are three years later. Rooted in black metal, the band went through many stylistic changes to achieve their signature sound for which they are known to this day. Their most recent album “1755” is sung completely in Portuguese, so it will be a very interesting experience to see these songs performed live. Moonspell are true veterans of metal scene, whose achievements speak for themselves, so enough has been said.
Rotting Christ, hailing from Greece, has also visited these parts in the past. Not as frequently as Moonspell did, but each time they’ve shown up they sure made it count. This will be their first performance in Croatia since 2011, so it is rather understandable that there would be a great anticipation for this show. Rotting Christ have also been very experimental throughout the years. Sharing the same roots as Moonspell, they played with various sound ideas and later formed their own niche of extreme metal. Their latest album “The Heretics” has gained a lot of praise from critics and fans alike, so the new material is expected to fit very well in a live surrounding.
The support for these two metal giants will be a Swiss hard rock band Silver Dust. With three albums behind them, the band might not be as known as Moonspell and Rotting Christ, but they are slowly gaining experience. They have been a support act for many bands among which are Eluveitie, Deftones and Crucified Barbara, so this tour would be another impressive thing to add to their resume. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what will this band come up with to surprise us.
These two metal giants on their own are a recipe for a great evening, so make sure to be there.
