Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Ozzy Osbourne has announced that he will now cancel shows in Australia, New Zeland and Japan. There has not yet been an announcement about whether the concerts will be rescheduled.
This follows news of the postponement of the entire UK and European legs of his “No More Tours 2” tour in January with Judas Priest on doctors’ orders, after coming down with the flu and bronchitis. In a statement on his website at the time, Ozzy said he was “devastated” but determined to reschedule the dates for September.
Sharon Osbourne said in a tweet that her husband was through the worst:
Ozzy recently developed pneumonia and has spent some time in hospital. Thankfully he is now through the worst part. His doctors have advised that he stay at home to recuperate for a full six weeks with no travel.
The 70-year-old is still due to begin a tour of North America with Megadeth in May. So, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes well.
