We want to introduce a few newcomers because it’s hard to get five minutes of fame and glory in a bunch of bands. Of course, we can’t cover all the bands, but if you check out our selection at least once, our mission will be accomplished. Take a few minutes and listen to their songs. Who knows? Maybe you will like it. But if you don’t try, you’ll never find out.
1. Soulwound – Altars of Skin
Finnish Thrash Metal band Soulwound will release their second album “No Peace” via Inverse Records on the 21st of October. They recently released the video for “Altars of Skin”. The song and the video deal with superficiality and pathological attention-seeking on social media. The editing was carried out by Tino-Viljami Vanhala, who also edited the band’s previous videos.
2. Poltergeist – Back To Haunt
The Swiss Thrash Metal band which recently signed a contract with Pure Steel Records. They were formed in 1985 and to date have released three albums: “Depression”, “Behind My Mask” and “Nothing Lasts Forever”. The new album, “Back To Haunt”, will be released on the 21st of October.
3. Iron Curtain – Wild and Rebel
The Spanish Heavy Metal quartet will announce their third album, “Guilty As Charged”, on the 14th of October via Pure Steel Records. Under their belt are two albums entitled “Road To Hell” (2012) and “Jaguar Spirit” (2013).
4. Heavenwood – The Empress
The Portuguese Gothic Metal band has released the album “The Tarot Of The Bohemians” via Massacre Records on the 22nd of July. The material was recorded and mixed by André Matos. The album was mastered by Wojtek Wieslawski. The band has recently released a video for the song “The Empress”.
5. Nosound – In Celebration of Life
Nosound is an English/Italian Progressive Rock band that started in 2002 by Giancarlo Erra. With the release of its new studio album, “Scintilla”, the band is pleased to be able to premiere its new video for the song “In Celebration of Life”, taken from the album, featuring guest vocals from Anathema’s Vincent Cavanagh. This video is a posthumous document for their dear friend Alec Wildey, who was a big fan of Anathema, so it was a fitting sendoff.
