The Tunisian progressive metal band Myrath on tour in Germany again. The Magical Tour also stops in Munich.
Incredibly personal, epic and beautifully oriental – this is how the progressive metal of the band Myrath sounds, which has slowly but surely developed into one of the most fascinating bands in the international metal scene. After months of hard work and countless sleepless nights, the Tunisian quintet has unveiled its long-awaited fifth album “Shehili”. An interplay of progressive influences and catchy hooks: “Shehili” mixes the Arabic melodies and groovy structures of “Tales Of The Sand” (2011), Myrath’s third groundbreaking album, with the complex compositions of the previous masterpiece “Legacy” (2016) ,
“Shehili” is characterized by strong contrasts between the catchy melodies and the profound, heartbreaking lyrics. The best example of this duality is the first single “Dance”. The song tells the story of “a Syrian dancer who is faced with death threats from Isis and still keeps dancing, even if he does so on ruins and tombs,” says singer Zaher Zorgati. “Our music should bring happiness and joy and express appreciation, for the people who never give up hope, not even in a world full of hate and insecurity.”
Far from the clichés of a modern metal band, “Shehili” was produced with sensitivity and special care. The drums were recorded in Hamburg by Eike Freese (Deep Purple, Gamma Ray) and the voices of the violins come from the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra. Kevin Codfert took care of the rest of the recordings and made sure every note was in the right place.
The mysterious Arabic word “Shehili” is the name of the ancient wind that blows in the dunes of the Sahara. Like a gentle breeze that whispers in the ear of a legend and opens the doors to dreams.
Eleine develop into one of the most exciting metal acts on the scene with their wonderful symphonies and a captivating live show. Since the release of their debut album in 2015 and their 2018 sequel “Until The End”, which hit # 1 on the Swedish charts, the band has toured tirelessly in Europe, UK and Japan, sharing the stages with W.A.S.P, Moonspell and Arch Enemy.
Eleine was founded by lead vocalist Madeleine Liljestam & guitarist/growler Rikard Ekberg. Eleine had their first show and released their debut single “Gathering Storm” in 2014.
This single was followed by a second single, “Land Beyond Sanity” the same year, and in April 2015 Eleine released their self-titled debut album.
The music from Eleine is described by listeners as heavy symphonic metal that is both stylish and magnificent.
Eleine had their album debut in 2015 and have since had several acclaimed shows with great reviews from venues like Sweden Rock Festival 2016, where Eleine delivered a theatrical show that left the audience both seduced and in awe.
Vocalist Madeleine is also a well-known alternative model and have been on the cover of Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine, internationally published several times and has been collaborating with many of the famous gothic brands.
Perhaps you have already noticed that someone else is the second guitarist in Ludwig Dante’s place. The reason for this is that Ludwig Dante will soon become a father and he has decided to concentrate entirely on his new family and therefore no longer remain in the band. We wish him and his family all the best!
The second guitarist is brilliant Jay Matharu, an old friend of the band, who has worked with Eleine several times. Jay Matharu will be a session musician in 2020 and will play with Eleine on every show. We are very excited about the massive tour with Myrath.
