An incredible version of “Eyes Of A Stranger” was recently released on the METAL VRAU youtube channel, faithfully performed by the Brazilian Queensrÿche cover band called Empire (@empireqscover), in which one of the channel’s creators, Rafael Pacheco (guitar), is an active part. With the addition of the new vocalist Américo Ortega, not only have they gained a greater fidelity in their interpretations, but also a power and reach that would make Geoff Tate proud!
“Eyes Of A Stranger” was released on the classic concept album “Operation: Mindcrime” in 1988, and to this day it is one of the greatest Prog Metal albums ever released, widely adored not only by fans in the bands hometown, Seattle, but from all over the world.
The heavyweight monsters that participated in this ‘collab’ were:
Americo Ortega – Vocals (@ortegavocals) (Empire/Aura/Oz Drum)
Rafael Tozi – Guitars (@rafa.tozi) (Empire/Untrusted)
Rafael Paheco – Guitars (@rafaelrcpacheco) (Empire/Untrusted)
Leo Muniz – Bass (@leo_b_muniz) (Empire/Into The Sound)
Fernando Ornellas – Drums (@ornellas_fernando) (Empire/Aventh/Kallimah/Structural Repairs)
Each musician captured their own sound and footage.
