Winter 1994… Sarajevo siege… Just a rumor… Fantastic rumor… Nobody believes. This can not be true!
Eight years after the Winter Olympic Games, Sarajevo fell under the siege of the inner circle of hell, which took almost four years to escape. The siege of Sarajevo was one of the greatest human catastrophes of the 20th century and the longest siege of the city in the history of postwar Europe. Within the city life that was unbearable, the inhabitants survived sniper bullets. No electricity, no water, no heating. However, for some there was one light at the end of the tunnel, there was a hope, the greatest escape from all – music. And one man, one rock star, brought hope. In this deep, dark hell and a night when crowd could not believe its eyes and ears, Bruce Dickinson came. He risked his life for people under siege. For a few hours there was no war, and under the stellar winter sky it was possible to believe that there was a normal life somewhere. For these young people, God gave them Bruce. That evening, Bruce Dickinson was in BKC, held a microphone and screamed “Scream For Me Sarajevo”. The scream that everyone will surely remember…
