Ladies and gentleman! Pay attention! On International Women’ Day, Rhapsody Of Fire will perform in Belgrade for the first time. At the same time, Italian legends will celebrate 20 years anniversary of their cult album “Dawn Of Victory”.
Rhapsody Of Fire was formed back in 1993, in Trieste, by Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli as Thundercross. After the band used the name Rhapsody for over ten years, due to trademark issues, they changed their name to Rhapsody Of Fire. The band is worldwide known for its conceptual lyrics that constitute a fantasy story throughout all of their albums from 1997 to 2011. The biggest shock from fans was the fact that Luca Turilli left the band after 18 years to form the brand new Rhapsody, Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody. Two band members joined him on his new journey through metal realms: Dominique Leurquin and Patrice Guers. As it was not complicated enough, in 2016, Fabio Lione and Alex Holzwarth had left the band and reunited with Turilli, Leurquin and Guers, to play again under the name Rhapsody for their 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour. Then, in December 2018, Turilli announced the creation of a new Rhapsody band named Turilli / Lione Rhapsody, with the lineup of the 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour.
Due to chaotic history, Rhapsody Of Fire remains one of the most influential Symphonic Power Metal bands. Their latest, twelfth album “The Eight Mountain” was released on the 22nd of February through AFM Records. The album “The Nephilim’s Empire Saga” is the first chapter for a new saga written by Alex Staropoli and Roby De Micheli.
So, mark the 8th of March in your calendars and prepare yourselves for epic metal journey!
