Vienna 2007. The Dragonslayer Project caused an uproar on the Austrian scene. What began simply as a project, quickly became an established band, playing numerous successful shows. After changing the band name to Dragony in 2011, the band signed with Limb Music, who released the debut album “Legends” in 2012.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s founding and the fifth anniversary of their debut album “Legends”, they took the opportunity to release a special birthday EP. “Lords Of The Hunt” contained not only two brand new tracks but a high content of bonus material – new recordings of fans’ favourites, demo versions and video clips.
Encouraged by the EP’s success, Dragony returned to the studio to start working on their third album. Additional financing, to elevate the standard of production up a step, was raised via a crowd-funding campaign. Working closely with producer and engineer Frank Pitters in his Silverline Music Studios in Vienna, the band recorded “Masters Of The Multiverse”.
With new album “Masters Of The Multiverse” band is firmly marching through Symphonic Power Metal lane. Album is made like every other in same genre and if you are a big fan of Symphonic Power Metal you will enjoy this album. We have everything we need; victorious moments, great riffs, keyboards and very sing-a-long voice that pumps everything up. Personally I’m not that much of a fan of Symphonic Power Metal, but the album as whole is really good. You can really tell how much they have put in making of “Masters Of The Multiverse”.
