In Corona Corner, we are asking musicians how the outbreak has effected them, how did they adapt to the situation, what did they learn. Join Redeye Caravan today and take a trip to Greece.
Hi! How are you doing during corona outbreak?
Hi and thanks for having us! The Corona outbreak found the Caravan’s members in 5 different cities, during the quarantine! We were with our families, working from home, so everything went smoothly.
What have you cancelled/postponed due coronavirus?
We were just about to present live our first album, “Nostrum Remedium”, something that will have to wait until a better time.
How the global coronavirus pandemic is directly impacting bands?
Just like us, there were many bands that wanted to play live, present their music to the fans etc and, of course, this is something impossible right now. Thus the impact is both artistic (expression wise) and financial.
How are you keeping your fans during this chaotic period?
We already have three video clips on our YouTube channel, and we’re working on a couple of live playing videos as well as lyric videos for the rest of our album’s songs!
What will metal look like when we re-emerge from isolation?
Since almost every band has the means to be in contact with their fans through internet, it could be a great time to write new stuff and re-emerge even stronger!
Who will suffer the most after all: musicians, organizers promoters…
For better or worse music has always been an industry, so everyone will suffer equally…
What is your isolation soundtrack?
We took advantage of the situation to hear even more music and discover new sounds and bands similar or totally different from us. It was a huge, diverse soundtrack!
Besides gigs, what/whom do you miss the most?
During the quarantine, it was the every day get-together we missed the most, since we’re friends more than band mates! In the later days, we miss the care-free times without masks and antiseptics!
Do you have any rehearsals during quarantine? If yes, how do they look like?
As said above, we were scattered around Greece at the time, so… no rehearsals during quarantine! It was the right thing to do, after all.
Thank you so much for your time. Stay safe!
