In Corona Corner, we are asking musicians how the outbreak has effected them, how did they adapt to the situation, what did they learn.
Hi! How are you doing during corona outbreak?
Hi Metal Jacket! Well the outbreak was a little frightening, you know, the situation was very new and strange…in the beginning was very difficult find out what was going on…so I was a bit anxious. Now I’m still alarmed but aware on what we face.
What have you cancelled/postponed due coronavirus?
We were starting the Skull&Bones promo tour in May and June (thank to RockOn Agency) but all the live acts are freezed now till better news will come about the covid’s ending.
How the global coronavirus pandemic is directly impacting bands?
Difficult to say…but generally speaking I think the most impacting thing for the bands will be the lack of gigs…live shows are the core of metal music, and the best way to make a connection with your fans.
How are you keeping your fans during this chaotic period?
The social networks such FB or IG but also YT are the only way to keep updated your audience and remain them loyal to the band.
What will metal look like when we re-emerge from isolation?
Times like these are very tough but Metal will rise from isolation stronger then before, I’m sure about it!
Who will suffer the most after all: musicians, organizers promoters…
Unfortunately we are all in this together…
What is your isolation soundtrack?
During the Covid19 Lockdown I listen to various genre of music from pop to extreme metal through classic music and I find out how good Spotify’s playlist are to discover some new (like All Animals) and some old good stuff (such as Warlord).
Besides gigs, what/whom do you miss the most?
I thing rehearsal with the band is the think I miss the most
Do you have any rehearsals during quarantine? If yes, how do they look like?
No unfortunately not…
Thank you so much for your time. Stay safe!
