Danish multi-instrumentalist Amalie Bruun, known as Myrkur, has announced a brand new EP. The new EP, titled “Juniper”, is the latest material from the Danish composer, vocalist and classically trained multi-instrumentalist and is scheduled to be released in December this year.
For her forthcoming EP, she joined forces with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Sólstafir, Cathedral) at Orgone Studios in Bedfordshire, England. The album’s B-Side, “Bonden og Kragen”, is a solo reinterpretation of a traditional Danish folk song from the 1600s.
Alongside the announcement of the new EP, Myrkur has released a brand new music video for the title track from the aforementioned EP. The music video was directed by Philippe de Grenade, who gorgeously captures her ethereal performance on 16mm film.
