After releasing their sixth full-length studio album “Minotaur” earlier this year and embarking on “Minotaur Tour 2018” to promote the new release, some shocking news came from the Gonoreas headquarters. Their lead singer Leandro Pacheco has announced that he is no longer a part of the band. No specific reasons were displayed for this unexpected event, besides the fact it was the singer’s own decision to do so.
Leandro has been in Gonoreas since 2012 and has recorded vocals on their three full-length albums: “The Mask Of Shame” (2013), “Destructive Ways” (2015), and “Minotaur” (2018).
You can read the band’s official statement below:
Dear friends and metalheads, who have supported us so much in the last years
Unfortunately we have to inform you that Leandro Pacheco has decided to leave GONOREAS. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts for his commitment over the past years. We regret there will be no farewell concert.
None of the upcoming concerts will be cancelled and we are all the more happy to have our friend Jonas Ambühl (Atlas&Axis) back on board!
BANG YOUR HEAD!
We had the privilege to visit one of the band’s last performances with Leandro on vocals. More about that show you can read on this link.
