It took only a few months for Gojira to sell out her big club concert at the Culture Factory on January 31, 2022. The performance of today’s most current metal band was moved to a space of twice the capacity, the Small Hall of the Zagreb Sports Hall, four months before the event.
The French metal machine Gojira is coming as part of a big world tour and on the wings of the new album “Fortitude” released this spring, for the only performance in the region. With a background of seven studio albums, this will be an opportunity for the band to present their now impressive opus.
The band, which has gone from anonymity to global recognition, combines elements of death, math, progressive and post-metal genres with themes of philosophy and environment in the lyrics. They won a Grammy nomination for best rock album – “Magma” – which is also one of Billboard’s top 200 albums, as well as the best metal performance for the single “Silver”. The current album “Fortitude” finished at the top of Billboard’s top rock charts as well as hard rock albums, topping the streaming charts, and in the week of release it was the best-selling in the US.
Alien Weaponry, a metal band from New Zealand, as well as English heavy metal Employed To Serve will join them as pre-bands at the concert.
Tickets are on sale at a price of 230 kn, and on the day of the concert the price will be 260 kn.
