Sirenia was formed by Morten Veland in January 2001. Morten’s musical work was already well known through his work with his former band Tristania, a band he co-founded back in the mid nineties. Being the main songwriter for this band he was a part of defining the gothic metal sound from a very early time on. With Sirenia the intention was to bring it to the next level, a task he succeeded to fulfil. Up to date Sirenia has released 8 albums, an EP and several singles. Their albums have made it to the charts in 6 countries, receiving great reviews worldwide. Meanwhile their singles have topped radio charts in several countries. Their 9th album “Arcane Astral Aeons” will be released on the 26th of October 2018 via Napalm Records. Sirenia has also toured extensively in Europe, Latin America, North America, Asia and Australia for 15 years and counting and performed at the biggest festivals in Europe on the same billing as huge acts like Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and Korn, to mention a few.
Elyose was formed by Ghislain Henry (bass) and Justine Daaé (vocals) in 2009. The band is leading today the female fronted Gothic-Industrial-Metal scene from France. They are from Paris and this 4-piece presents a unique sound and crushing show. The band released their 3rd full-length album “Reconsexion” in September 2018 as independent artists. They raised the whole funding to record and produce it through Indiegogo via their fans. The record features legendary singer Mark Jansen on the dark industrial metal track “Psychosis”.
Alight was founded by Mirko Montresor from Bolzano, Italy. After many line-up changes, they are finally unleashed the second studio album “Spiral Of Silence” on April 27, 2018 via El Puerto Records. The band put a lot of effort into the pre-production, which was handled by Waldemar Sorychta (Moonspell, Tiamat, Samael), recorded and mixed by Marco Barusso (Lacuna Coil) and masted by Marco D’Agostino (Lacuna Coil). Also, they are proud on another prominent guest, Andrea Ferro (Lacuna Coil), who can be heared on “The Shame”. On top of this, some string parts were recorded by Giovanni Lanfranchi (Cayne). They have produced impressive video clip for their first single “The Portal” featuring Patric Ullaeus (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir).
Crossing Eternity is a Romanian-Swedish metal/rock band founded in 2017 by experienced musicians who are truly passionate in the way they approach music. Starting with the recording of their first studio album, “Rising World”, the band members aspired to an organic, old school sound, resisting the temptation of an over production. The adventure started in the summer of 2017, when Manu, the band’s guitarist and main composer entered the studio with a new band in mind a lots of good song ideas. On the way, the rest of the band joined the process of recording and producing, working until everything was well done, in January 2018.
Supported by their fellow southerners – Elyose, Alight and Crossing Eternity – Morten Veland and his bandmates will bring their epic melancholic symbiosis of orchestral opuses and raw heavy metal sounds to Zagreb.
