Ex-AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd and his new band perform for the very first time in Croatia. Fifth edition of Biggest Little Rock Festival announces it’s first headliner – Phil Rudd! For the first time in Croatia Phil Rudd and his band will perform on Friday, April 17, at Hard Place.
Controversial musician who is often called “heart & soul of AC/DC” has been drummer for one of the biggest bands of all time AC/DC for over 30 years (1975 -1983 and 1994 -2015) and has performed on 15 albums which sold over 200 million copies worldwide. Timeless hits such as “Highway To Hell”, “Back In Black”, “T.N.T.”, “Let There Be Rock” and many more are all backed with his phenomenal and unique drumming. Phil Rudd was (along with the rest of AC/DC) accepted in Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2003 but because of legal issues could not join the band for “Rock Or Bust” tour in 2015 so was replaced by Chris Slade who was already member of the band from 1989 to 1994.
During 2014 Phil Rudd has teamed up with his fellow New Zealanders to record his debut album titled “Head Job” which is straightforward hard rock. To quote Phil:
To tell you the truth I couldn’t be more f***ing happier with the album. I’m very proud of it and with everything we’ve done on it. Guys have played excellent, drum sound was great… It’s really amazing!
Because of the legal troubles there was no album promotion but now when everything has settled down Phil is on tour promoting “Head Job” and along with his own songs will perform some of AC/DC classics.
First chance to see and hear this rock ‘n’ roll legend in Croatia will be at Hard Place during the 5th Biggest Little Rock Festival on Friday, April 27.
