Leprous, Agent Fresco & 22 @ Močvara, Zagreb, 14.9.2018
rujan 14 @ 20:00 - 23:59100kn – 120kn
One of the biggest growing prog attractions, Leprous, are finally coming back to Croatia. It will be the first time they will play as headliners at our areas. Special guests on this tour will be Agent Fresco from Iceland and band 22 from Norway. The show is part of the “Malina Tour”, for the promotion of the band’s newest material released in 2017. Concert will be held in club Močvara in Zagreb on Friday, September 14th.
Leprous is a Norwegian Progressive Metal Band, active since 2001. They are renowned for the catchy rhythm and for their sweet grooves and a jazzy attitude. The last album, called “Malina” was well received by the public and it strengthened Leprous name among the prog metal bands. If you are a fan of great vocals, heavy riffing, fusion drumming and a prog-dramatic atmosphere, you better consider this concert being a good option. Leprous display almost no regard for genre boundaries, fusing a wide and eclectic array of influence into a sleek display of musical mastery. The performances are superlative, with vocalist Einar Solberg showcasing his talent with superb range and delivery. “Malina” was nominated as album of the year in the Progressive Music Awards 2018.
Sometimes, you can feel where a band is from. Agent Fresco are as untamed, graceful, momentous, dangerous and unpredictable as the land they come from. Agent Fresco are from Iceland – a country almost impossible not to be influenced by. “Living in a country that has summers of non-stop light and winters of almost complete darkness is bound to have an impact on your state of mind,” says vocalist, composer and frontman Arnór Dan Arnarson. So that’s settled.
Agent Fresco’s music is a reflection of this ever-changing landscape, with its overwhelming sense of freedom and vastness. This is a progressive Art Rock band that needs to be experienced from a few steps back to be grasped in its entirety, like a bold work of art. In the last couple of years, their iridescent, propulsive, arty and highly addictive music made the highly esteemed Reykjavik band – comprised of Arnór Dan, Þórarinn Guðnason, Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson and Vignir Rafn Hilmarsson – become the favourite of a music-loving nation and an act sparking international interest. Or, to use the words of MTV’s own Halley Bondy: “By and large one of the best bands to come out of Iceland”. And this in a country with a higher band per capita ratio than most others.
Tickets are still available at regular price of 100 kn and on the day of the concert, if left, it will cost 120 kn.
