MJM: Zašto svirate metal i možete li objasniti Arctic Death Thrash žanr?

Vrlo jednostavno.

MJM: Što ste do sada izdali i recite nešto više o zadnjem albumu Afterlife?

MJM: Gdje nalazite inspiraciju i tko piše glazbu, a tko tekstove?dedd

Odin: Inspiraciju nalazimo u dnu boce viskija i starom dobrom rocku i thrashu. Većinu glazbe i teksta radimo Gustav i ja, a onda cijeli bend to složi.

MJM: Da li ste prije svirali u Hrvatskoj?

Odin: Da, u Zadru.

Dajte nam svu energiju i mi ćemo vam vratiti istom mjerom, naravno pozitivnu energiju.

English version

MJM: Please introduce your band to our reader.

Odin: We’re trying to bring the fun time rock back to the big stage, since everything is developing into being technical these days.
We have a wide spektrum of influences, from Frank Zappa to Slayer. We’re more thinking along the old school way, not much of a studio band. Live shows is where it’s at, touring every part of the world that will have us. What we’re trying for is a mix of keeping it interesting, both for the average person and the die hard metal fan.

MJM: Why you play metal and how you describe Arctic Death Thrash genre?

Odin: Metal is a genre of music that let’s your delve into every part of your emotional spektrum. From being angry, to happy, to sad. There is a place in metal for everything and everyone. Why would you not play it? Arctic Death Thrash, pretty simple. It’s what we do.

MJMWhat is meaning of name Dienamic?

Odin: The meaning of Dienamic. It’s a nice catchy name, looks good on paper, has a nice ring to it. But there really is no deep philosophical meaning behind the name. Every band could tell you about hours spent trying to think of a name that defines you. It’s really just something that sticks out in your mind, besides we get many puns out of the name. Hoodnamic, Drunknamic, Kindnamic, Sillynamic, Funamic etc.

MJMWhat do you publish till now and can you tell us something more about you forthcoming album Afterlife?

Odin: In 2010 we had a bootleg EP out, then we had the Betrayed single in early 2012. Then we hit the masses with Surfing the Apocalypse in late 2012. After that came the music video for Revolution For Nothing from the new album on January 27th. The meaning behind the album was to go for the sound, production and feeling that could take us to the next level. Lyrically it’s a summary of experiences in our lives that helped define us, both the good and the bad. Musically it’s us delving into the old school feel but with a new fresh look upon it. It carries the red line from the first album, and it’s us just going forward with that thought in mind.

denamMJMWhere you find inspiration and who writes music and who lyrics?

Odin: We find inspiration in the bottom of a bottle of whisky and old school rock/thrash. Like mentioned earlier it’s us taking a fresh new look into what rocked in the past. As far as sources of inspiration go, that’s just anything and everything around us. You hear something, you feel something, you see something and that just inspires you. You can’t just go searching for inspiration, it just finds you on it’s own. Music and Lyrics are written mostly by Gustav and me, and produced by the band.

MJMIs it playing with band enough to live?

Odin: That would be a NO. Everyone wants to live from their music, it’s the dream any band wants to achieve. But so far, we all work day jobs to support this dream.

MJMDo you play before in Croatia?

Odin: Yes, in Zadar.

MJMWhat do you know about Croatia?

Odin: It’s a beautiful country with excellent food and beer! We fucking love it and the women are absolutely gorgeous!

MJMWhat do you exept of croatian gigs?

Odin: We expect to have a good time! What we’re hoping for is a crowd that comes out and has a party with us. So that we can feed them our energy and they in turn can feed us energy. This is how you get a fucking awesome show!

MJMIn your opinion, where is furure of metal music?

Odin: The future of metal is something that’s hard to pinpoint. Since metal is a big fucking tree that is branching out into the wildest places. You see new bands come up now doing things you never thought was possible before. It’s like extreme sports these days, it’s insane what some people are doing with it. Yet still parts of it sticks to the core that once was metal. So where it’s going? Everywhere it fucking wants to go!

MJMFor the end say something to our readers who will come on your gigs.

Odin: Just come out and have a beer with us, enjoy the music and be fucking loud! Because that’s what we’re planning on being! Give us everything and we will give you everything, energy wise of course.
