Desperation BLVD: Quarantine Story

by Metal Jacket

In Corona Corner, we are asking musicians how the outbreak has effected them, how did they adapt to the situation, what did they learn. Crown, guitarist of Italian Sleaze/Metal/Hard Rock band Desperation BLVD speaks his Corona story.

Hi! How are you doing during corona outbreak?
I felt better when the lockdown was over in may here in Italy, it was a crazy time but it looks now that we are going to go through a second lockdown this autumn. I can say i know better how to deal with it now!

What have you cancelled/postponed due coronavirus?
We deleted an European tour! We hope to do it in 2021!

How the global coronavirus pandemic is directly impacting bands?
As i wrote before deleted a tour. Our album has been released February 7th and we could not support it. I think all the band has been damaged by this virus in every kind of aspect!

How are you keeping your fans during this chaotic period?
Through the social media. It is the only way!

What will metal look like when we re-emerge from isolation?
I think there will be a lot of rage both in live shows and compositions!

Who will suffer the most after all: musicians, organizers promoters…
I think everyone! We all lost something!

What is your isolation soundtrack?
Paradise Lost new album “Obsidian”! It’s perfect for this period as soundtrack!

Besides gigs, what/whom do you miss the most?
Everything man! Not only related to music but to life in general!

Do you have any rehearsals during quarantine? If yes, how do they look like?
No we didn’t. We live in different towns and we couldn’t move. After the quarantine we started again and we can go on now but who knows how long.

Thank you so much for your time. Stay safe!
