Corners Of Sanctuary Drop New Video “Earth Fighter”

by Metal Jacket

Philadelphia’s Corners of Sanctuary drops new video for “Earth Fighter,” the 2nd video supporting “Blood and Steel: Volume Two” which dropped on August 6th via RFL Records. The follow-up to their critically acclaimed first installment, “Blood and Steel: Volume One,” hailed as the band’s most dynamic effort yet, Volume Two has some big shoes to fill, but is definitely up to the challenge.

Mick Michaels gives details about the 2nd single: “Earth Fighter” definitely has a throwback sound to it…and that’s because the song was originally written in the 80s…back in 2020 we lost a dear friend…because of everything that was going on in the world, there wasn’t an opportunity to have the closure most people are accustomed to…so we wanted to honor his memory and his accomplishments as an artist and as our brother, in our own way.”

“Blood and Steel: Volume Two” picks up where Volume One left off, continuing taking the band to a grittier, darker musical setting to platform their unique and original modern-classic Heavy Metal sound and style.

Again, produced by COS founder, primary songwriter and guitarist Mick Michaels, and mastered by Thrash legends Blood Feast guitarist and studio owner and engineer, CJ Scioscia, (Ross the Boss, Mike LePond of Symphony X) at Le Chateau Bow Wow Recording in New Jersey, “Blood and Steel: volume two” fires on all cylinders and delivers a blistering array of the band’s unforgiving signature songwriting approach. Maintaining their traditionally inspired riffing and arrangements, Volume Two continues the charge of Volume One with another battering set of traditionally influenced tracks by the united hard work of the band’s popular lineup featuring: bassist James Pera, drummer Mad T, guitarist Michaels and singer Frankie Cross.  “Blood and Steel: volume two” also includes guest performances on the 80’s inspired track, “Earth Fighter,” by Seeker and Corporate Mass guitarist John Coonan as well as Femmes of Rock bassist Michael Kelly who delivers an ensemble keyboard introduction.

Corners of Sanctuary has traveled throughout the United States performing at such legendary venues including the Whisky A Go-Go and the Rainbow on L.A.’s Sunset Strip, Philly’s Trocadero Theater, New England’s The Met, Anaheim’s World Famous Doll Hut and Chicago’s Wire to name a few. The band has shared the stage with a myriad artists and bands including UDO, Stryper, Bulletboys, Saxon, Grim Reaper, Saving Abel, Janet Gardner, Tantric, Butcher Babies, Sponge, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Anvil, Jackie Chambers of Girlschool, Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, the Iron Maidens and Britny Fox among many others. COS has also toured overseas and performed throughout the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium.
