Long awaited “normal” concerts have started, and I couldn’t be more happy. I took my chance right away and rushed to see the one and only E.N.D.
For me it was somethin new, because it was my first time going out in Sisak, and as it would turn out, it was the first time for E.N.D. to play at Sisak. What a perfect combination.
We came right on time, but we had to wait for about hour and half for a concert to start. I didn’t mind the wait because in years I don’t think any concert in small venues has started on time. It’s just part of tradition – waiting for the crew to gather.
Finally the show started! We had the opportunity to hear two more bands before E.N.D. greeted us on stage.
First were Entropist, instrumental doom trio from Rijeka with admixtures of space, psychedelic, post & stoner rock. Maybe it sounds interesting, but I wasn’t feeling it. It seems like they were out of place and out of time. Perhaps if I heard them on record I would have different opinion, but seeing them live for the first time, they didn’t made any impact on me. Also they didn’t have much connection with public, even whit those 10 people in the audience. I was really confused when they finished their set. No greetings, no thank you, nothing, just silence. I swear that for that second I thought that they are just changing instruments, but than they just started packing. I have never seen something like that.
After Entropist, we welcomed Kevlar Bikini on stage. They were refreshment after the Entropist and they actually connected wit the audience. Considering that there wasn’t many people they took the chance to get of the stage and join us in front of the stage. I will give them thumbs up for the energy. Although I’m not a fan of HC punk, metal, noise-rock mix, They sounded good, but it seemed like everybody is just waiting for the E.N.D. to come on stage.
Finally the E.N.D. is stepping onto the stage and the real show starts.
Like I said before, not many people attended, but that’s okay, they missed hell of a show. Everybody who was there were just waiting for the E.N.D. to start playing so they can release all the energy they were saving during corona-shit. It felt like exclusive concert just for selected few, and boy did they deliver. Atmosphere in the venue reached the top. You could feel the positive energy around and people actually started moving. Band had amazing connection with the public, and they gave us their best.
This was a special evening that I think both band and fans will remember. First time in Sisak, crazy fans, one strange underwear and the night was amazing.
Stay true, stay Metal and rock on!
